| Bio: | 37 years old, and living in Edinburgh since 2001. I was made redundant from my first unix sysadmin job at the end of 2002, spent 2003 doing voluntary work, taking an Open University course in Project Management and moving house. 2004: started my own company, worked in temp office jobs and worked voluntarily for a number of not-for-profit organisations. Finally got a full-time job as a senior administrative assistant much to the relief of my partner and, somewhat bizarrely, her work colleagues. 2005: am enjoying co-moderating FreecycleEdinburgh — an Edinburgh-based yahoo group dedicated to the free exchange of unwanted items — although my plaintive cries of I want a pony have been sadly unanswered. 2006: got promoted at work, Freecycle's going well, voluntary work with the sustainable transport charity is interesting, and OMG!!11!1!! we've had a baby ... baby is gorgeous, I've given up Freecycle, got another promotion at work, and moved to three days per week working. 2007: bought a bike trailer and looking for adventure. Found adventure when I was allocated an allotment, and I've got an allotment blog, too. Now I have a bike with front and rear panniers and my partner's got a bike with a baby seat; we are set...
